Jenean Hampton used this bag when she ran unsuccessfully for Kentucky State Representative against Jody Richards in the 20th District in 2014 Jenean Michelle Hampton served as the 57th lieutenant governor of Kentucky from 2015-2019. She was the running mate of Governor Matt Bevin. Hampton was the first African American to hold statewide office in Kentucky's history and the third African American woman to have served as lieutenant governor of a U.S. state. Hampton served in the United States Air Force for seven years as a computer systems officer, eventually attaining the rank of Captain, and was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. |
