Notes |
Thomas Woodrow Wilson was the 28th President of the United States, from 1913 to 1921. His running mate for both the 1912 and 1916 Presidential Elections was Thomas R. Marshall. The team won the first election and were narrowly re-elected in 1916. Wilson's political career began when he became the 34th Governor of New Jersey. Before this he was the President of Princeton University for several years. This object was donated on December 30, 1986 by Drexell Davis. Davis, a self-described "Yellow Dog" Democrat, held several elected positions in the Kentucky state government. His thirty-three years of public service prompted his interest in collecting political memorabilia. |
