Description |
This is a Gulf War era Iraqi canteen. It is an oval-shaped bottle made of dark green plastic with a screw-on lid that was once attached with a plastic tab. There is a ridge that extends around the middle of the bottle. The back side of the canteen is flattened. |

This piece was acquired by the 223rd MP Company, part of the 401st stationed at Prisoner of War Camp also known as the "East Camp." The items were taken from Kuwait City within the first week after liberation from bunkers by 223rd. The 223rd was there from January 26 to May 26, 1991 during the Gulf War. |
