Description |
This is a box for a pair of Nashawannuck suspenders. The box and lid are white cardboard. The image on the front of the box lid shows a young woman with long wavy hair standing in a swing where the swing ropes are suspenders. She is wearing a colonial style dress with a blue bodice and overskirt with a yellow underskirt. The skirt has blue trim to match the top. She is wearing black boots. There are trees in the background. |

This object from the W.A. Williams House in Green County, Kentucky. The Nashawannuck Manufacturing Company had mills and factories in Easthampton, MA. The first suspenders were made there in 1848. |
