Description |
This is a pair of jungle boots from the Vietnam era. A&B) boots with olive drab cotton canvas upper and black leather lower with rubber soles. They are size 8R and have reinforced ankles, heals, and top. There are vents on the instep. Each boot has eighteen eyelet grommets for lacing and black cotton lace; |

Objects in this collection belonged to Sgt. Michael A. Norris (1947-2001). Born in Louisville, Norris served with the United States Army in the Vietnam War in the 25th Infantry Division, often known as "Tropic Lightning". His service began in 1972 and ended in 1977. His distinctions included the Purple Heart, Silver Star, Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal. Norris' records are on file at the Military Records and Research Branch of the Kentucky Department of Military Affairs. Donated by Norris' brother, Barry Norris. |
