This is a steel four tine "eagle claw" hay lifting grapple fork. It has traces of dark blue-green paint. |
Notes |
A farmer used a grapple fork to lift short grasses such as clover and alfalfa into the barn loft for storage. This fork was used by Joseph F. Garnett (1844-1912) and his son Shandy H. Garnett (1879-1955) on their Christian County farm, Woodlawn. |
