Description |
This New York delegate's badge is from the 1920 Republican National Convention held in Chicago, Illinois. The pin has a brass frame with a paper insert that reads, "New York". The ribbon is green with gold lettering down the center reading, "Republican National Convention." Below this is a round seal with an eagle and two men standing beside a shield encircled with olive branches. Below the seal is lettered, "Chicago June 8, 1920." |

The 1920 Republican National Convention nominated Warren G. Harding for president and Calvin Coolidge for vice president. The New York State delegates were William M. Calder, Nathan L. Miller, William B. Thompson, and James W. Wadsworth Jr. Layfayette B. Gleason of New York was the General Secretary of the Convention. |
