Description |
This is a political button from the 1948 Truman/Barkley presidential campaign. It was made by the lithographic process and is printed in blue and white. The upper and lower quarters of the circle are blue with white letters, while the middle half is white with blue letters. It says "VOTE / TRUMAN / AND / BARKLEY / IN '48." |
Notes |
Drexell R. Davis, (1921-2009), held several elective offices in Kentucky during the latter half of the twentieth century, including treasurer, (1971 & 1979), and Secretary of State, (1975). He served 33 years in various state jobs. He was known for his extensive collection of political campaign buttons, many of which he donated to KHS in 1987. |
