Description |
This is M1910 U.S. Army mess kit. It is an aluminum pan with a handle and cover. The cover has a metal loop riveted to it with a brass ring passing through the loop. The bottom oif the handle is stamped "US/ 1 USA/ Co/ 1918" |

This belonged to the donor's husband, Major Thomas J. Cecil, and were used by him during World War I. Major Cecil was with the 1st Battalion, 51st Coast Artillery. He was a native of Danville, KY. |
