Notes |
Robert "Bob" Babbage won the election for Kentucky Auditor in 1987 by defeating Republican candidate Beverly Griffin. He ran for Secretary of State of Kentucky in 1991 and won that election as well, beating out Dexter S. Wright from the Republican Party. He lost his 1995 bid for Kentucky Governor in the Democratic primary to Paul Patton. This object was donated on November 14, 1988 by Drexell R. Davis. Davis, a self-described "Yellow Dog" Democrat, held several elected positions in the Kentucky state government. His thirty-three years of public service prompted his interest in collecting political memorabilia. |
