Description |
This is a woman's blue and white dress. It is a mid-calf-length knit dress with a sky blue and white herringbone pattern. It has short sleeves and a v-neck. The neckline and the sleeves are trimmed with a one inch sky blue knit. There is a one and one-half inch sky blue knit belt that ties in front. The skirt of the dress is flared and it has a back zipper closure. |

The clothing items in this donation belonged to Hazel Neal Bennett who was born in Williamstown Kentucky. She was a career woman who worked for the Farm Home Administration. She married a farmer named Glenmore Bennett . The couple had no children. They opened the department store called Frakes and Bennett in Williamstown. They sold general dry goods and clothing. Hazel was an accomplished seamstress and quilt maker. |
