Description |
This is a box for an oral thermometer. It has a brown lid with a cellophane window. There is a gold stripe across the middle. The blue bottom has cutouts for a thermometer. There are instructions included, but the thermometer is missing. The box held eyedroppers in Dr. Threlkeld's case. |

From the traveling obstetrics bag of Owen County doctor Arthur Threlkeld (1862-1942). Dr. Threlkeld was a fixture in Wheatley in Owen County, although he frequently traveled as far as Carroll County. He used a horse and buggy until 1920, when he bought his first Model T. |
