Description |
This is an ash ladderback armchair with a split hickory seat. The chair has dual stretchers on all four sides with acorn finials on the back posts. There are simple turned elongated knobs on the front posts. |

By family tradition, this chair belonged to Yelverton and Anne (Guffey) Peyton. The Peytons came to Boonesborough around 1780 from Amherst County, VA. |
