Description |
This political button has a two-part metal back with pin, over which printed paper has been laid with a plastic covering. It is gold colored and has a white paper sticker on top. The sticker is printed with blue ink "KENTUCKY WANTS AL GORE AND TIPPER too IN 2000." |

Vice President Al Gore of Tennessee and his running mate, Senator Joseph Lieberman, were defeated in the 2000 presidential race by Republicans George W. Bush (Governor of Texas) and Richard Cheney (Pennsylvania). Gore narrowly won the popular vote count but lost in the electoral college. |
