Description |
This is a heavy paper nametag in a plastic sleeve clipped to a black Bellarmine University lanyard. The nametag is light blue-gray with white lettering and a white space for the name of the holder, in this case "Jack Brammer", printed in black. The rest of the tag reads "Kentucky Governor's Debate/ September 15, 2015/ Bluegrass Poll Partner Media/ Lexington/ Herald-Leader/ kentucky.com". The bottom left of the tag features the Bellarmine University coat of arms, printed in purple and white, and below that "Bellarmine University/In Veritatas Amore", also in purple. The black lanyard has a steel swivel clip, for holding the nametag, two plastic pinch clips, and the name of the university, printed in white, six times. |

Jack Brammer used this nametag while covering the 2015 Kentucky gubernatorial debate at Bellarmine University held on September 15, 2015. Jack Brammer has been a journalist for over 40 years at the Lexington Herald-Leader. Brammer, a native of Maysville, has a master's degree in communication from the University of Kentucky. He worked at the Sentinel-News in Shelbyville for two years before joining the Lexington Leader in 1978. His career has spanned nine Kentucky governors. Jack Brammer was a 2018 inductee to the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame, which is located in the School of Journalism and Media in the Grehan Journalism Building on the University of Kentucky campus. |
