Description |
This quilt is a "Feathered Star" pattern of red, pink, blue, navy, white, and tan cotton. It has thin cotton batting and is hand pieced. There are twenty-five pieced blocks that are approximately 14 1/4 inch square. Each square contains a star made of a center square (about 5 3/4" square) made of red cotton with a gold floral pattern. The points of the stars are made of triangular shaped pieces of yellow fabric with a purple design and diamond shaped pieces of black paisley, white, brown and pink fabrics. The squares are joined together with bands of white and pink floral fabric that are bordered by small strips of light blue fabric with a pink floral pattern. The strips are joined together with a brown paisley square that measures approximately 3 1/4 inch square. The quilt has a white cotton binding tape. The back is white. The hand quilting is done on a diagonal. |
