Description |
This is a bag for the mine detector amplifier (2002.45.3). It is an olive drab green canvas bag with a harness. It is a rectangular bag that holds the amplifying unit. There are several buttons and quick connect snaps. The harness is designed so the bag can be worn as a backpack. There are padded shoulder straps and the straps are attached to the waist belt. There are spring hooks to attach the harness to a combat belt. There are two split fork belt buckles on the front of the harness--one at the waist and one at the chest. The straps are adjustable. |
Notes |
Donor purchased this item at a surplus sale at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The type of detector set is common for late WWII, but in its current configuration suggests it was used up to and during the Korean War. |
