Description |
This is a United States Navy Four Star Admiral flag. The flag has a blue field with four appliquéd five-pointed white stars in circular pattern. The flag has a machine sewn hem on top, bottom, and fly edge. There is a white canvas heading with reinforced squares at the top and bottom next to heading. The design is present on the obverse and reverse. There is text inscribed on the heading that reads, "Admiral Charles K. Duncan U.S. Navy / Flown on ships at sea and Headquarters Norfolk, Va., 1972 as NATO Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic, As U.S. Unified Commander in Chief Atlantic and / As Commander in Chief U.S.; Atlantic Fleet." There is text stamped on the heading that reads, "Flag Admiral Ellig F / Com at sea / DSA 100-18-C-1812 / 8345-241-2245 Nylon Bntg / Typ-1 C-1 Size 6." |
