Description |
This is a 12 carat gold filled hair pin. The piece is u shaped with flaring sides. The top of the pin has a floral design with a small hole in the center that appears to be for an eyeglass chain. The chain is missing. The piece is on a sheet of rectangular cardstock packaging with the company logo of "GOCo" at the top. The inscription goes on to list the cities: "Chicago, Ill./ Des Moines, Ia./ St. Louis, Mo./ Minneapolis, Minn./ Cincinnati, Ohio." Near the bottom is an inscription in purple lettering that reads: "GUARANTEED/ 12K. GOLD FILLED/ EXTRA QUALITY/ SOLDERED LINKS." The packaging has four horseshoe shapes cutouts to hold the chain. |

From the office of Dr. Ezais R. Earle (1880-1975) who practiced medicine in Nicholasville between 1958 and 1969. Dr. Earle graduated from the University of Louisville in 1902, interned at the I.C. Hospital in Paducah, KY and then served as Doctor in Residence at I.C. Hospital. About 1908 he specialized in Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat at Knapp Sanitatium in Vincennes, Indiana. From 1909-1957 he practiced medicine in Urbana, Ohio and then from 1958-1969 he practiced medicine in Nicholasville, Kentucky. |
