Description |
This is an Italian naval cap, potentially from WWII. It is made of three black felt pieces that have been sewn together. The first piece is the crown, which is in a circular and flat shape. The second piece is the underside of the crown or brim which has four vertical seams and four manufactured holes (two pairs on opposite sides). The third piece is the headband, which has one vertical seam and a bottom hem. The headband also has a gray elastic cord on one side and is lined with black leather along the interior. A long ribbed cotton strap has also been sewn onto the interior of the headband. The lining of the top of the crown is made of black cotton. A white stamp is also located in the center interior of the crown, reading: "56." It is machine-stitched, with black cotton thread. |
