Description |
These are a woman's firefighting boots. They are a pair of black rubber boots with a loop handle for easy on and off. The sides are adjustable. There is a slight black heel and the soles are thick white treads. The height of the boot is adjusted by pulling the rubber above the handles which extends the height from the knee to the thigh. There is a yellow reflective stripe painted around the ankle and along the sole. There is a yellow helmet logo at the shin. The boots are lined with black felt and are steel toed. |
Notes |
The donor, Charlene Smith, was a volunteer firefighter in Anderson County from 1986 until approximately 1994. Her equipment had to be special ordered because her frame was smaller than any of the available used equipment. When she left the firehouse in the late 1990s she was allowed to keep her gear because they were changing styles and ordering new equipment. |
