Description |
This postcard is from the 1984 National Republican Convention. The front of the card is high gloss. Across the top is a red stripe with white stars, then a white line, a blue stripe with white text that reads, "THE NATIONAL REPUBLICAN CONVENTION - 1984," all in capital letters, and another white line. The center features a color photo of the Dallas skyline. Below is a row of four elephants, each 1.75-inch square, the top portion outlined in white and inside blue with white stars, then a white line with red below. The first elephant has the word "Dallas," the second "Texas," the third "U.S.A.," all in capital letters, and the fourth "1984." Centered at the top of the message section on the back of the postcard, it reads, "1984 National Republican Convention / Dallas, Texas," all in bold, capital letters. Centered across the bottom in smaller type, is a copyright symbol, then "1983. Sold as a postcard. Rights / for all other commercial uses reserved." Dividing the message section from the address section is a line of type that reads, from the right, "Dist. by A-W Distributors, P.O. Box 5167, Irving, Texas 75062." In the top right corner is a rectangle made from a printed line that reads, "A. Mirror K. Rome Card by H. S. Croker Co., Inc.San Bruno, CA 94066," all in capital letters and small print. Beneath the word "Rome" and "Card" is a registered trademark symbol, an R within a small circle. Enclosed is a stylized eagle's head with "Place Stamp Here" below in capital letters. The address section is enclosed by a thin line with the word "address" in capital letters across the top and three lines within for writing the address. |
