Description |
This is a delegate's badge from the 25th convention of the United Daughters of the Confederacy that was held in Louisville, Kentucky in 1919. The piece has an aluminum pin at the top with a rectangular opening for a paper name tag. Beneath that is a red and white satin ribbon with an inscription printed on it in silver. The wording reads "DELEGATE/ 25th CONVENTION U.D.C./ LOUISVILLE, KY./ APRIL, 1-5, 1919." At the bottom end of the ribbon is a celluloid process button with an aluminum or tin frame and backing. The button has a photograph of a monument printed in black and white with the words "CONFEDERATE MONUMENT LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY" surrounding it. The maker's mark is printed on the back of the ribbon in silver and reads "ST. LOUIS BUTTON CO. MFRS. ST. LOUIS." |
