Description |
This is Fred R. Miller's reunion badge from the 21st annual Kentucky American Legion state convention. The piece has a brass frame at the top with a paper insert that has the name "Fred R. Miller/ Carrollton, Ky." printed on it. The frame has a maker's mark on the back that says "GREENDUCK CO./ CHICAGO." The back also has a pin and hook closure. A ribbon is suspended from the frame with a stripe pattern of brown, rainbow, black, rainbow, and brown. The medallion has a Louisville city seal in the center featureing a woman holding a flag that says "PROGRESS" with a train on one side and a boat on the other. The inscription reads: "21ST ANNUAL STATE CONVENTION DEPARTMENT OF KENTUCKY/ CITY OF LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY/ 1939" The medallion has the American Legion seal at the bottom and a maker's mark on the back that reads: "GREENDUCK CO., CHI." |
