Description |
This guidon was used by the 623rd Field Artillery Battalion, Service Battery. It is red with appliqued white lettering. The field is a traditional guidon shape with straight top, left side and bottom, and a "V" cut on the right side. At the top of the guidon is "623." In the center are crossed cannons. At the bottom is "SV. BTRY" |
Notes |
This guidon was used by the 623rd Artillery Service Battery, Kentucky National Guard during the Korean War (1950-1953). The donor is the former commander of the 623rd Field Artillery Kentucky National Guard. The 623rd Field Artillery Battalion was headquartered in Glasgow, Ky. The Battalion arrived in Korea in December 1951 and returned home in the late fall of 1952. |
