Description |
This is a souvenir spoon from the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) National Encampment in Louisville, KY in 1895. The spoon is copper plate and has a log cabin in the center of the bowl. The head of the sppon as crossed cannon with a stack of cannon balls under them. There is a stylized GAR under the cannon. On the handle of the spoon are the words "29th National Encampment." On the bowl are the words "LOUISVILLE/LINCON CABIN/1895." |
