Description |
This is a circular celluloid process political button for the Tisch Independent Citizens Party of Michigan Presidential campaign of Howard Phillips in 1992. The button has a white background with red and blue lettering that reads "TISCH INDEPENDENT CITIZENS PARTY" and "OF MICHIGAN" separated by five blue stars on each side along the edges. In the center there is dark blue lettering that reads "PHILLIPS/ FOR/ PRESIDENT" with an unreadable union printer's label at the bottom. There is red lettering on the curled under edge that reads "BOBBY MAY ADVER. SPEC. (703) 566-8788". The button has a safety-pin closure on the back. |

The U.S. Taxpayers Party of Michigan is an affiliate party of the Constitution Party. The party is one of six 'ballot-qualified' parties in Michigan. The ballot line on which the party ran in its initial election in 1992 was that of the "Tisch Independent Citizens' Party." |
