Notes |
These dice are from the Flamingo Club. The Flamingo, or 633 Club, was located at 633 York Street in Newport, Ky., during the illegal gambling boom of the 1950s. Run by the Levinson Brothers, the club operated largely under the radar of the Cleveland syndicate, which operated much of the illegal gambling in Newport. Involved in a highly publicized murder, the club's owners moved to Las Vegas in 1956 to run the Fremont Hotel. |
