Description |
This is a celluloid-type promotional button from the Frankfort Centennial in 1961. The top half of the button has a black background and depicts a cartoon illustration of a blonde woman smiling and waving a rolling pin behind a man's head. There is a man in front of her who is standing at a mirror, shaving, and has a bump on his head from being hit on the head. There is yellow and black text below the couple that reads "SHAVING PERMIT." The bottom half of the button has a yellow background with red text that reads, "FRANKFORT / CENTENNIAL / Aug. 26 - Sept. 1, 1961 / 1786 - 1961." The button has a tinplate backing and a safety-pin style closure. |
