Description |
This skillet is oval and made of copper. There is a wrought iron handle riveted to the pan with three copper rivets. The end of the handle is round and hollow while the section that is attached to the pan is flat and rectangular. |
Notes |
The socket handle on this frying pan would allow it to be fitted with a wooden handle, keeping the user well away from the fire. Copper was used because it heated quickly and evenly and was easy to work. |
