Description |
This is a celluloid process political button that was created for the 1948 Presidential Elections in support of Harry S. Truman. The button has a white background and a stars and stripes pattern along the edge which alternates between six red stripes followed by a blue bar with four white stars. The center of the button bears the image of Harry Truman with the words "PRESIDENT / HARRY S. TRUMAN" beneath it. |

The 1948 Presidential Election featured Harry S. Truman (Democrat) running against Thomas E. Dewey (Republican). Truman would win the election with 49.6% of the popular vote. |
