Description |
This is an official Christmas card that was sent out by Governor Earle C. Clements, Kentucky's 47th Governor. On the front are three black and white pictures of Kentucky landmarks. Cumberland Falls is located in the upper left corner, My Old Kentucky home is located at center and Kentucky Lake is located in the bottom right corner. Each has their location's name typed underneath the picture in black: "CUMBERLAND FALLS," "MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME," and "KENTUCKY LAKE," respectively. A branch of holly sits in the upper right corner, and another sits in the lower left. The bottom edge has been tattered intentionally as part of the card's design. The inside right page of the card has centered black text that reads, "With very best wishes / for Christmas and the New Year / Governor and Mrs. Earle C. Clements." The back is blank, although the tattered bottom edge continues here. |
