Description |
This cap is made of black cotton and is a baseball billed cap. The DPS stands for Diplomatic Protection Services and is stenciled in white on the front. It has a cloth adjustment strap with a steel buckle and the buckle has a trademark logo that is an outline of a shark. The top button is missing. |

On the donation assessment form it discusses how Cpt. Holmes was in command of A Battery 1st/623rd Field Artillery from Tompkinsville, Kentucky. He was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom from January 2005- December 2005. The 623rd was a convoy that provided support from Kuwait to Southern Iraq and Bagdad. Holmes did patrols with Iraqi police and the Iraqi National Guard. His company was assigned to Abu Graib prison in May where they guarded 5000 detainees everyday. |
