Description |
This is a child's toy box. It is made of pine, with a hinged top, two large pine rear wheels on a single wooden axle, a third small wooden wheel mounted to the bottom of the opposite end. There are two protruding 3/4" dowels, on the end with the small wheel, with holes drilled through them that are attached to a short wooden handle by means of a length of bent coat hanger. The entire box displays circus themed paintings: the large wheels are painted red, with small, medium, and large yellow stars; the box has a wide blue border, topped with a red narrow border around the bottom and a red scallop motif border around the top edge; the long sides have a monkey with a bell on its tail, three alphabet blocks, and a smiling lion with its paw on a blue and white beach ball; one short side shows an elephant with a top hat and cane with his foot on a blue and green pedestal and another elephant with a blue bow around a single hair at the top of her head, sitting on a higher blue and green pedestal; the other end shows two seals, one with a white bow around its neck and a red and white beach ball on its nose. The top has a blue painted border, a clown with orange hat and shirt and green polka dot pants, a red giraffe with spots, and "Whimsie/ Toy/ Chest" painted in green. The clown is throwing red, orange, brown, and green rings at the giraffe's neck. The handle is painted red with a wavy yellow line in the middle. The bottom has a stamp with an illegible name and "...Product/ Pasadena, California". |
