Description |
This is a postcard for the inauguration of Jimmy Carter in 1977. The front is a very colorful picture of a button. It is green with "Inauguration-Jan. 20, 1977" on the top and "Jimmy Carter / 39th President" on the bottom. There is a black and white picture of Jimmy Carter in the center with the United States flag in the shape of the United States behind him. That button is placed in a scattered pattern behind the main one. The back is blank with a place to put a stamp in the top right corner with "Jimmy Carter-dominated by the famous / grin! Carter Inauguration-January 20, 1977" on the left side at the top. |

Jimmy Carter was the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981. He was a member of the Georgia Senate from the 14th district from 1963 to 1967. He was also the 76th Governor of Georgia from 1971 to 1975. He also served in the U.S. Navy and reached a ranking of Lieutenant from 1946 to 1953. He also won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. |
