Description |
This one piece lime green satin dress has a V-neckline with a center seam and curved front darts. There are six rows of creme, green, gold, and beaded trim in V shape from neckline to midway down the front of the bodice. Rows of the trim come over shoulders and down almost to the center of the back. The dress has a center back closure of 18 pairs of hooks/eyes and ten silk covered buttons with beads for decoration. The dress has short puffed sleeves covered with silk net and capped with three satin points edged with same trim as the bodice. The dress is made with a combination of hand and machine stitching. A very stiff piece of pleated fabric is at the center front inside the bodice. Two large silk covered cotton pads help create the desired shape. The dress has a cotton grosgrain waist stay with two hooks/eyes. The inside is lined with tan cotton twill fabric. The natural waist is banded with three rows of trim and a large fabric panel edged with three rows of trim and lined with creme silk edged with ruching hangs down from the waist on each side of skirt. At the center front between these two panels are seven rows of trim forming V shapes. The bottom of skirt is lined with dark teal polished cotton. Two long streamers of dress fabric and trim hang from waist down the center back crossing over each other and being joined by a bow. A second bow is in the box with the dress and appears to have once been attached at the top of the streamers. |
