Description |
This Sharps bullet is of a conical shape with four indented rings encircling the body, with the ring nearest the tip being the most shallow. The base of the bullet, which is separated by the fourth ring, has a smaller diameter than the rest of the body. The molding mark of the bullet is visible as two opposing vertical lines from the tip to the base. |

This bullet was found at the battlefield of Vicksburg, Mississippi. It was reportedly acquired by donor while doing research on the Orphan Brigade, c. 1970. |
