Nick Clooney began his career in broadcasting on radio when he was only 16. He became a well-known entertainer on Cincinnati radio and television and eventually moved over to the news department at WKRC (Channel 12), where his newscasts eventually became number one in the city, beating the once-invincible Al Schottelkotte on Channel 9. After leaving Channel 12, Clooney anchored in Los Angeles, Buffalo and Salt Lake City before he left the TV news business and went to work for American Movie Classics, the cable channel that airs vintage films. |
