Notes |
Born and raised in the Chicago area, James Baker joined the USMC during the Vietnam War. During his service, he visited Frankfort, Kentucky. He decided that he would like to move there after his tour of duty. Baker joined the USMCR in 1963 and served three years, serving one year overseas. Baker carried this stove, because it was considered better than the military issued stove. After his service, he moved to Frankfort and began a successful career in state government. |
