Description |
This is a plastic name tag with an attached ribbon for the reunion of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II in 1976. The nametag has a white paper insert with black typed name of the donor, "EWERT ELLIOTT", the submarines on which he served, "SEAL & MASABI" and his home state "KENTUCKY". The dark blue satin ribbon is straight cut at the top, pinked at the bottom and adhered to the back of the nametag. There is a metallic gold drawing of a submarine on ocean waves on the front of the ribbon separating metallic gold lettering that reads "U.S./ SUBMARINE/ VETERANS OF/ WORLD WAR/ II" and "22nd NATIONAL CONVENTION/ DENVER, COLO/ AUG. 4-8, 1976". A metal pinback is attached to the back of the nametag. |

This belonged to the donor's husband, Ewert W. Elliott. Ewert and Alene Elliott both were members of the United States Submarine Veterans of World War II (USSVWWII). Ewert served aboard the USS Seal (SS-183) and the USS Macabi (SS-375) submarines in World War II. |
