Description |
This small color World War II era poster is done in red-orange and green tones on a white background. John Paul Jones is depicted on the left wearing a Revolutionary War uniform. He is standing with his left fist in the air and a sword in his right hand. Beneath him is a cannon and behind him is an early U.S. flag that has been tattered. In front of him is a shirtless man wearing a head scarf and earring who appears ready to fight. The top of the poster says, "John Paul Jones said: I have not yet begun to fight." The bottom of the poster says, "Fight with War Stamps & Bonds." |
