Description |
This is a plaster model of Ashland. It was produced by the Works Progress Administration. Ashland was the house of Henry Clay in Lexington, Kentucky. Has a WPA stamp in one corner. The model is at a 1/8" to 1' scale. |
Notes |
In 1934-35, the Works Progress Administration proposed a project to produce architectural models of historic buildings for museums and schools to provide employment for artists and art teachers. Around 28 of these models were produced of KY sites. |
