Description |
This is a silver plated trophy or loving cup. The piece has an urn or vase shaped body with a handle at each side. The handles have a floral motif at the shoulder and the distal end. The rim of the piece and the shoulder of the piece are decorated with bands that have a geometric pattern. The front of the cup is engraved with the inscription "Christmas Carnival/ 1930/ Best Junior Drum & Trumpet Corps/ Awarded to/ Hdq. Det. Com. Plat. 149th Infantry." The base is hollow and the urn/vase is attached to the base via a screw that can be seen from the bottom. |
