Description |
This Scientific Grinding Mills catalog was created by the Foos Manufacturing Company of Springfield, Ohio. The catalog has a color cover, and it is 40 pages long. The inner pages are attached together with three small steel staples. The pages have black and white drawings of various grinding mills and extensive descriptions and uses of each mill. One mill is shown to be horse powered. The upper third of the catalog cover says, "THE / SCIENTIFIC / GRINDING / MILLS" with decorative dots and scrollwork around the text. There is a large dark circle encompassing the left side of the background. An offset rectangle with decorative edges reads, "FOOS / MANUFACTURING / CO / SPRINGFIELD, OHIO." Cotton bowls are blossoming along the left edge, upper right quadrant, and in the lower right corners. In the lower left corner along the bottom edge, the printer's information reads, "Globe Co., Springfield, Ohio." The back has similar background design with a grinding mill at center in a circle. Near the top, the catalog is stamped, "T.W. Blandford, Agent, Columbia, Ky." |
