Description |
This is a steel carpenter's adz. It has a flat head and no handle flat head. One corner of the blade is cut at an angle. |
Notes |
An adz used for smoothing a large surface such as a framing timber or a floor. The poll is flat and could be used for driving pegs or light nails. Conventional usage is a chipping or smoothing action roughly between the feet of the user. An unsteady hand or glancing blow could easily result in an injury. |
