Description |
The watercolor depicts the footbridge at Peaks Mill, Franklin County, Kentucky. The foreground is divided into the stream on the left and the bank with vegetation on the right. The focus of the painting is large curved tree that dominates the center and upper center. Below the tree is a footbridge with wooden planks and stone piers. The background consist of several buildings (barns, sheds and houses) and other foliage. The painting is signed in the lower right hand corner with a secondary incomplete signature done in a lighter color just to the left. |
