Description |
This men's frock coat is double-breasted with a six-button front closure. Each lapel has two button-holes and all of the buttons are fabric colored. The coat is made of ten panels of fabric with an attached panel for the collar. The sleeves are made of two panels of fabric each and slightly gathered at the shoulder. There is a ribbon embellishment 3 1/2" above the cuff of the arms. The edges of the coat are finished with black cloth tape. There are two fabric covered buttons on the back, one on each side of the vent. The fabric appears to be a heavy cotton, once a black or dark blue, but is now discolored to a brownish color. The interior is a polished cotton lining that appears to have been green or blue in color. There are two interior welt pockets at the breast. |
