Description |
This is a clipping from the German edition of Frank Leslies' "Illustrirte Beitung" or roughly translated "illustrated marketing." It shows an illustration that is captioned "Das im Ban begriffene Waller-Reservoir bei Louisville. (E. (?) 326)" which is roughly translated into English as "The Waller-reservoir in the construction at Louisville." The image shows a small church like structure in the center. A man made grassy set of hills with a set of stairways running through the center. There is also a horizontal flat path from the front of the building. The little building is connected to a fenced section that is blocking off a small, flat and recessed valley. People are walking along the various pathways surrounding the building. In the foreground there are horse attached to carriages and buggies. On the backside of the paper, there are cropped German articles. |
