Description |
This is a campaign ribbon for Grover Cleveland for the 1884 presidential election. The ribbon is red with black printing on it. A bronze pinbar in the shape of the letters of Cleveland's name with a banner running through the center of the lettering is attached at the ribbon's top. At the top of the ribbon, below the pin, "We have waited Patiently!" is printed in black. This phrase is followed below with an illustrated jugate of Grover Cleveland and his running mate, Thomas A. Hendricks, in black. Below the jugate is a black illustration of a rooster facing the viewer's right. "And now We've Got 'Em" is printed toward the bottom of the ribbon, also in black. |
Notes |
This campaign ribbon is from Grover Cleveland's first successful run for president with Thomas A. Hendricks in 1884 against James G. Blaine. |
