Notes |
John C. W. Becham (1869 - 1940) was elected Lt. Governor in 1899. In early 1900 he became acting Governor upon the assassination of Governor William Goebel. He defeated John W. Yerkes 233,052 to 229, 363 in a special election to fill the unexpired term. He won a full term in 1903 over Republican M. B. Belknap 222,014 to 202,764. |
